Dear Residents and Local Businesses,
This is your weekly update from St Michael's Team 1
β Good News from Your Local Policing Team β
It has been another busy week across the area, with officers and PCSOs engaging with the community, supporting local events, and continuing proactive work to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. Armed Forces Day We were proud to support Armed Forces Day celebrations at the Broadgate, joining the community in recognising and celebrating the dedication and service of our Armed Forces personnel, veterans, and their families. Transport Museum Car Show The popular car show outside the Transport Museum attracted visitors from across the region. Officers and PCSOs were on patrol throughout the event, providing reassurance, engaging with attendees, and helping to ensure everyone enjoyed the day safely. Pride at Fargo Village We were pleased to support the Pride event at Fargo Village, celebrating diversity and inclusion within our community. It was great to see so many people attending and enjoying the event in a safe and welcoming atmosphere. Operation Advance Our proactive Operation Advance activity continued this week, with officers carrying out targeted patrols to tackle anti-social behaviour and robberies in identified hotspot areas. These patrols are designed to prevent crime, reassure the public and respond to concerns raised by residents. If you see us out on patrol, please stop and speak to us. Supporting our Police Cadets We also spent time in the City Centre engaging with our Police Cadets, who continue to make valuable contribution by supporting community events and developing their knowledge of policing. It was great to spend time with them and see their enthusiasm and commitment. Never leave your car unattended, running with the AC on, and valuables on show. Over the summer, you will see more officers out in our towns and cities, but there are also ways you can help keep your community safe. Your CCTV helps us solve real crimes. We are urging local businesses, residents, and community groups to sign up to our CCTV registry online: CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police. It only takes five minutes and can help us bring more opportunistic burglars and thieves to justice.
You can report suspicious activity around vehicles and homes, online via Live Chat, through 101, and anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 π How to Contact Us or Report Information π π€πΌ Thank you for working with us to keep Coventry safe and informed. See you out and about!
